Penang is where the festivities never end and in this year
of festivals, the Fabulous February Fiesta sees Thaipusam,
the Hot Air Balloon festival where visitors are able to
experience hovering above solid ground along with the
already robust Chinese New Year celebrations and
Tropfest SEA festival that showcasesoriginal short films.
In conjunction with Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, the Penang Hot Air Balloon Fun Run
will be held for the first time in Penang Padang Polo (Jalan Sepoy Lines). The run will
give participants an opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind experience on running with
balloon together witness the hot air balloons take off in Youth Park and Padang Polo.
There will be eight local and three international flying balloons as well as four tethered
balloons. This event is open to all ages and will include other side activities such as fun
inflatable playgrounds,creative workshops, photography competition, kite flying and more.
